Five Reasons Why We are Excited about the Upcoming NEMOA Conference

From March 22nd to the 24th, NEMOA, the National Etailing and Mailing Organization of America, is bringing their semi-annual directXchange conference back to Boston. With over 200 companies already confirmed to be in attendance, here is why we are excited for the upcoming event.

1) The Conference Theme

It is almost impossible to keep up with the staggering amount of marketing technology innovation and new, emerging marketing channels. In order for a marketer to find success in all of this, they need to constantly evolve and be open to new strategies, channels, and creative techniques.

This conference, NEMOA is facilitating this evolution with the conference theme: Reimagine. Per the NEMOA website regarding the theme: “It’s time to reimagine the way we think about growth. This is a new world of marketing with new attitudes, new spending habits and a host of new tactics. It’s time to re-think the rules that have governed marketing of the past and REIMAGINE what could be.”

2) The Increased Focus on Digital

It is no secret that the US consumer is spending a significant amount of time per day on digital devices to shop, communicate, and gather information. This said, it is more important than ever to implement a marketing strategy that will effectively reach your target audience across multiple channels.

To meet this need, NEMOA has put together a digital-focused track of “breakout sessions” and keynote addresses dedicated specifically to this topic. Additionally, we will be hosting a Connection Zone that speaks directly to this idea of integrating digital with direct (more information below).

3) The Postmaster General’s Address | March 23rd, 9:15am

It has become an annual tradition to have the Postmaster General address the NEMOA attendees on the state of the post office. This year, that tradition continues.

Megan Brennan, the 74th and first female Postmaster General and CEO of the USPS, will be updating everyone on the current and future plans on the post office, the challenges the USPS faces, and how they will be responding to those challenges. As any decision can potentially have a major impact on Direct Marketers, this keynote address will surely be a packed house.

4) The Networking and the Networking Dinner | March 23rd, 6:30pm

In honor of NEMOA’s 70th anniversary, this year’s networking party and corresponding dinner is being hosted at the Boston Park Plaza. Dubbing a “Casino Night Theme,” the networking dinner is always a great place to meet new attendees, and catch up with old friends.

5) LiftEngine’s Hosted Connection Zone | March 23rd, 3:15pm

For the second consecutive year, we are honored with the opportunity to host a “Connection Zone” during the conference. This year, our topic is “Reimagining Cross-Channel: Strategies for Coordinating Digital with your Direct Mailing.”

As marketing technology becomes ever-more sophisticated, marketers’ ability to reach their exact audience across multiple channels becomes a more achievable reality. Whether you are a digital veteran or have never run a digital campaign before, this Zone will share various strategies on how to target your audience across multiple channels, ideas on how to coordinate and juggle multiple channels, and ultimately how to measure each channel’s impact on the overall campaign.
